Jungular Expedition

There are four of us: my native friend, two silver-haired twins, and myself. I am the leader of our group, though the twins have point at the moment. After a couple miles, I take point and tell the twins to go to the east and west, while my other friend and I forge ahead northward. We go on a few more miles, and he decides that I am leading too slowly. He passes me on the right and disappears into the distance.
The jungle, however, is a particularly bad place in which to be alone. As I wander by myself, I occasionally see someone out of the corner of my eye who looks like one of the twins. I know it is just the jungle playing tricks on my mind. There's a reason people say “it's a jungle out there;” the jungle is a dangerous place, one in which every move must be made carefully. I can only hope that my companions are still out there doing just that.

A Meeting... for Science!

Six of the seven Great Investigators of Science were sitting around the dimly lit conference table, each from a different country: America, Britain, Russia, Germany, India, and China were all represented. Paintings of Great Investigators past hung about the walls, some very old. In the dim light, the paintings almost looked ominous. The seventh Investigator, of Japan, was standing at the front of the room, pointing emphatically at something on the projector screen. The scientific elite (including myself) from all nations were gathered to be a part of this once in a lifetime event. After fifty long years, it was again the time of the age-old meeting of the Fraternal Order for the Edification of Mankind.

Monsters

I have vanquished countless monsters in my time: some big, some small, most terrifying. I'm still on a high from defeating (with a lot of help) one of mankind's most feared monsters. Today, however, is different. Another kind of horrifying creature looks me in the face defiantly. We circle each other, looking for any weakness the other may have, but neither find one. Usually, I don't mind this sort of struggle. The only problem is that this beast is in fact a small rabbit. It's TINY. He blocks my path as I wander through the forest I am already lost in. He wears very fancy clothing, but looks different in every browser. He is CSS, and he wants blood.
